How can I get to Sangam once I get to India?

Yes! Touring in India can be a wonderful adventure and many people feel that after coming all the way to Sangam it would be a waste not to see more of the country.

For a fee of £15 per person, Sangam will arrange your tour for you. Otherwise, we can put you in touch with a trusted tour company. Our Tour Booking Procedure provides all of the necessary information on how to book a tour of India.
When is best to do a tour?

 Please bear in mind that travelling in India can be a challenging and overwhelming experience for even the most experienced traveller.  We encourage first-time travellers to India to schedule their tour after their stay at Sangam.

What is there to do in and around Pune?

There are lots of interesting sites and things to do in Pune. To name a few of said sites:

  • The carved Pateleshwar Caves,
  • Shanirwada Fort,
  • Pravati Hill,
  • Various temples, day hikes and day trips to towns outside of Pune.

How safe is Pune?
 
Pune is as safe as any other large city in India or any other country. The main dangers, as in any big city is petty theft.

The natural curiosity of those around you can mean that you may also experience hassling from salespeople or locals. Cries of “What country madam?” are common, and are not meant to frighten.

Road safety is another experience, like many issues in any other city, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to be cautious.

During your time at Sangam, our staff are always willing to be of assistance in answering questions.

India is as safe as Pune, as long as you remember your own personal safety and don’t put yourself in dangerous circumstances, you can enjoy exploring this fantastic country.
