Namaste

I am Darshana Pawaskar from Mumbai. I am the District Training Commissioner of East Mumbai Suburban District & an active member of The Bharat Scouts & Guides. At Sangam, I worked as a Programme Assistant June-Sept 05 & now working as the Deputy Centre Manager. Getting into Sangam and becoming a part of the Sangam Family was a ‘Dream Come True’ which I had nurtured for many years.

I am here to represent India, to portray its rich heritage and its strength of unity in diversity, to give a clearer picture to foreign participants of the different types of ‘set ideas’ they have of my country. Back in Mumbai, I work as a Sr. Manager and enjoy complete job satisfaction, here at Sangam it is pure bliss! I love every second being here and this has given me an inner strength to broaden my perspective of life.

At Sangam I don’t miss my family. I find the same homely atmosphere and the serenity of the place is awesome. My longing for a sister was fulfilled by meeting a lot of sisters at Sangam. I am also learning a lot of new things about India from the western point of view.

Sangam in totality has offered me an ultimate experience for self development and personal growth in a multicultural environment. I dread the moment when I will have to bid goodbye. It will truly be ‘Sweet Sorrow’.
