Seminars
Wagggs mission is:
"to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world"
Information sessions, discussion panels, guest speakers, visit to social organisations and practical planning groups are often included in the schedule. A general introduction to Indian culture and WAGGGS is also provided.
In line with current WAGGGS strategic goals and objectives, upcoming seminar themes will be based on learning advocacy skills and include. One way in which participants can achive the WAGGGS mission is by attending a Wagggs Advocacy seminar at Sangam. Which are different from the regular events, the seminars are shorter and offer a more intensive programme based on learning about and exploring key global topics.
All seminars will be presented in the context of learning the skills and abilities necessary to become empowered to advocate for these and other issues. No specific knowledge in the subject areas is required to participate however a general knowledge of WAGGGS is useful.
Individuals and groups may make a booking directly with the centre by contacting info@sangamworldcentre.org. Sangam does not require you to book through your Member Organisation however we recommend that you advise your International Advisor that you would like to attend as there may be funding or other assistance available.
Some scholarships may also be available from Sangam for particular seminars. Contact World Centre Manager for further details.
